About your second question, you can set a static IP on your router, by linking the MAC address to a specific IP.
Hm, not sure I can do that on my router. (any hints as to where to look, btw?) To be clear, what I want to achieve is having the tessel get assigned the same internal IP every time. For example right now it has 10.0.0.10, but I have no way of guaranteeing that 10.0.0.10 is not taken if I disconnect for 2-3 days or something.
This is a minor issue though. If I get the reconnect API I can work my way around that in a lot of ways. Thanks for answering!
