Complete newbie to the Tessel and electronics in general. I've played with Arduino a bit, but really don't have much experience beyond that.
For my first Tessel project, I would love to hack a slow cooker so that I can set the temp via some type of gauge.
Essentially it will function as a yogurt maker. I will fill the crockpot with water and it will be able to be used as a double boiler. The heating water will be able to come up to temp and hold for however long the program dictates.
Here's what I have:
- 1 - crock pot with a on off switch
- 1 - Tessel 2 (en route)
- 1 - Relay
I'm not sure how to handle the actual measurement of the liquid in the crockpot though. I've been looking at thermistors and temp sensors. Could anyone recommend a possible build and parts to get this going?
