Any recommendation for an enclosure for Tessel 2? There was talk in the forums of a 3D-printed enclosure for the Tessel 1, but I guess that never materialized? Thanks,
Guess it depends on what modules you have and what you're looking to do. When I'm messing around with this stuff, I use Legos to build enclosures.
My use case is to affix the enclosure on a wall. It would contain one module, maybe two. I am not sure LEGO would fit the bill here, but I am curious to see how that would look like!
well, there's always this snazzy cereal box case by @sidwarkd
Personally, I use 3M command strips to affix my Tessel stuff directly to the wall, as in this Tessel 1 clap-on lights example:
I also unfortunately didn't take a picture of it, but for this Tessel 2 + servo project I needed to be sure my cat wouldn't get into the wiring, so I turned the cardboard box the Servo module comes in into a case which fit the Tessel 2 and Servo module. The USB power, 5V (servo) power, and servo wires all poked neatly through their own holes in the box.
Autodesk made these 3D print case concepts for Tessel 1 but I'm not sure if the CAD ever materialized. If it does exist, it would be in the Autodesk Fusion 360 community.
Thanks. A quick search https://gallery.autodesk.com/fusion360/projects doesn't seem to show any results, so I guess it never happened. Maybe it will be time to get into 3D printing - that, or the cereal box option!
